by Rev. Jean “Drum” Pagano
In the desert,
I planted a seed,
And a dry wind arose
In the sky,
I planted a seed,
And it drifted out of sight
In the stream,
I planted a seed,
And music arose,
Like an aquatic symphony,
With stones playing drums,
Hollow trees as bassoons,
And the reeds
Whistled,
The banks listened intently
As the water flowed by
In the ocean,
I planted a seed,
Lir paused for a moment,
As the ripples circle away
